# Discover

When you enter the Discover section, you will see two options:&#x20;

* **Explore** – View curated, ready‑to‑invest Smartfolios&#x20;
* **Create**—Build your own custom investment basket.&#x20;

### How to explore all Smartfolios baskets ?

* Log in to Smartfolios.&#x20;
* Go to the **'Discover'** tab.
* Click on the **'Explore'** button.&#x20;

The 'Explore' page is divided into **two** main sections:&#x20;

1. <mark style="color:green;">**Left Panel – Filters**</mark>&#x20;

This allows you to refine the list of Smartfolios based on your investment preferences.&#x20;

2. <mark style="color:green;">**Right Panel – Smartfolios Cards**</mark>&#x20;

This displays the list of Smartfolios matching your filter criteria. <br>

* #### <mark style="color:green;">Filters</mark>

The filters help you easily navigate through dozens of investment baskets. \
Each filter can be expanded to reveal more options.&#x20;

1. **Investment Amount**—Choose a Smartfolios basket based on the amount you plan to invest.&#x20;
2. **Market Capitalization**—Select baskets focused on&#x20;
   1. Large Cap&#x20;
   2. Mid Cap&#x20;
   3. Small Cap&#x20;
   4. Multi Cap&#x20;
   5. Commodity&#x20;
   6. Large & Mid&#x20;
3. **Risk** – Filter by risk profile: &#x20;
   1. Conservative&#x20;
   2. Moderate&#x20;
   3. Aggressive&#x20;
   4. All&#x20;
4. **Rebalance Frequency**—Choose how often the basket is adjusted.&#x20;
   1. All&#x20;
   2. Quarterly&#x20;
   3. Active&#x20;
   4. NA&#x20;
   5. Fortnightly&#x20;
   6. Monthly &#x20;
   7. Bi-monthly&#x20;
5. **Invest Mode** – One‑time or SIP. Or All&#x20;
6. **Investment Term** -&#x20;
   1. All&#x20;
   2. Short-term&#x20;
   3. Medium-term&#x20;
   4. Long-term&#x20;
7. **Baskets By**: View baskets based on creators.&#x20;
   1. All&#x20;
   2. Geojit&#x20;
   3. MSCI Index&#x20;

The baskets in the right panel update automatically based on the filters you select.

You can also click Reset to clear all filters.&#x20;

#### <mark style="color:green;">Smartfolios Cards</mark>&#x20;

You can view the Smartfolios baskets in either grid view or list view. &#x20;

In the grid view, which is the default view, each Smartfolios appears as a card, displaying key investment details, which include the following:

1. **Basket Name** (Exampl&#x65;**:** Prime FundTech, Alpha Top 100, LV Value Quant )&#x20;
2. **Category Tags -**
   1. Risk level (e.g., Conservative)
   2. Market cap (e.g., Large Cap)&#x20;
3. **Brief Description -** short explanation of the strategy

For example: “Focused on large caps with dynamic allocation for stable growth.”&#x20;

4. **Investment Requirements & Performance Data**&#x20;

* Min. Inv: Minimum amount required&#x20;
* CAGR%: Long‑term average annual growth.&#x20;
* 1 Yr Ret: Performance over the last 12 months&#x20;

Now, click on the **‘View Details’** icon, and you will land on the basket details page of that particular fund. Click here to know what all details are displayed on the basket details page. &#x20;

#### The sort panel&#x20;

The sort panel on the right side of the Discover page allows users to refine and customize the list of Smartfolios displayed. By applying these filters, users can quickly find baskets that match their investment preferences and goals. Each &#x20;

Options include :&#x20;

* Highest Return – 3 Months&#x20;
* Highest Return – 6 Months&#x20;
* Highest Return – 1 Year&#x20;
* Highest Return – 3 Years&#x20;

Selecting a sort option reorders the Smartfolios based on their historical performance over the chosen period.&#x20;

#### **Search for a Smartfolios basket.**

The search bar allows you to quickly find a basket by typing:&#x20;

* Name&#x20;
* Theme&#x20;
* Strategy&#x20;

This is especially helpful if you know the basket you're looking for.&#x20;

### Basket Details Page

* To know the details of a specific basket, click on the basket card.&#x20;
* Now you will land on the basket details page.&#x20;
* Here you can find a detailed overview of the basket, such as
  * **Basket description**&#x20;
  * **Performance**&#x20;
  * **Key Details**—Investment Type, Rebalance Frequency, Min. Investment, and Additional Investment&#x20;
  * **Fund Vs Index Performance**&#x20;

&#x20;<mark style="color:green;">**Performance Screen**</mark>&#x20;

The chart here represents two items over time:&#x20;

1. The graph  :chart\_with\_upwards\_trend:
   1. <mark style="color:$warning;">**The orange color**</mark> depicts the current basket.&#x20;
   2. <mark style="color:blue;">**The blue color**</mark> depicts the index.&#x20;

* On the top right, you will see options:&#x20;

&#x20;           3M | 6M | 1Y | 3Y | Max&#x20;

* These let clients choose the time range for which they want to view performance.&#x20;
* This shows how the selected basket would have performed compared with the index over the same period. <br>

2. Sector‑wise Allocation <i class="fa-chart-pie">:chart-pie:</i><br>

   The **Smartfolios basket details page** includes a **Sector‑wise Allocation chart** that visually shows how the investments in the selected basket are distributed across different market sectors.

This chart helps investors:

* Understand **which sectors the basket is exposed to**
* See the **relative weight of each sector** at a glance
* Assess how **diversified the basket is across industries**

Each segment of the chart represents a sector, making it easy to identify areas with higher or lower allocation. The total basket value and the allocation split are shown as of the latest available date, giving a clear snapshot of the basket’s composition.

<mark style="color:green;">**Funds vs Index Performance**</mark>&#x20;

The **Basket Details page** in Smartfolios includes a **Funds vs. Index Performance** section that compares how the selected Smartfolios basket has performed against a relevant market index over different time periods.

This section helps investors:

* View the **basket’s performance across multiple time horizons** (such as short-term and long-term).
* **Compare returns against a benchmark index** to understand relative performance
* Assess how the basket has performed **across different market cycles**

The performance comparison is presented in a simple tabular format, making it easy to track trends and evaluate how the basket has fared versus the index as of the specified date.

You will find an ‘**Invest’** button towards the right end of the page. Click on it to invest in this basket. &#x20;

### How to invest in Smartfolios basket?&#x20;

If you want to invest in a basket, follow the below steps.&#x20;

* Log in to Smartfolios and select the **'Discover'** tab.&#x20;
* By default, the '**Explore'** page will be displayed to you.&#x20;
* Here you can see all our baskets listed below.&#x20;
* Identify the basket in which you want to invest.&#x20;
* **Click on the preferred basket.**&#x20;
* Now the basket details page will be displayed.&#x20;
* Go through the details.&#x20;
* Click on the **'Invest Now'** button given below the page.&#x20;

* Now an **order screen** appears. &#x20;
* **Enter your investment type** – SIP or lump sum.
* Select the multiplier. &#x20;
* Your total investment amount will be reflected accordingly. &#x20;
* The required margin and available margin will be displayed towards the bottom of the order screen. &#x20;

* Click **'Review & Confirm.'**&#x20;
* Now the **confirmation screen appears.** &#x20;
* Here, the name of the basket, the investment amount, the investment type, and the payment mode will be displayed.&#x20;

* Click **'Confirm,'** and complete the process.&#x20;

The order will be sent for execution on the same day if registered and accepted during market hours and will reflect in your Smartfolios and Flip applications from the next day but will not be available to sell from Flip as long as the basket is active.

#### How to create your own Smartfolios basket (DIY)?

* Tap the **Discover** option on the bottom bar.
* Locate the **Create** button next to the **Explore** option.
* You will be redirected to the **Create Your Own SIP** page.

* Click on **Create SIP**.
* A pop-up window will appear. Enter the following details:
  * SIP name
  * SIP frequency
  * SIP date
  * Investment amount
* Choose the payment method:
  * **Ledger** – uses the available wallet balance
  * **NACH** – auto-debit from your bank account
* Select the SIP duration (minimum **6 months**).

* Click **Create SIP**.
* You will be taken to a page where you can add stocks to your SIP basket.
* To add a stock, click on the **➕ Add Stock** button on the right-hand side.
* A search bar 🔎 will appear. Type the stock name and select the required stock.
* Click the **➕ Add** button corresponding to the selected stock.

* After adding the stocks, you can customize the basket. The following details will be displayed:

  * Stock name
  * Price
  * Quantity
  * Approximate purchase value
  * Weightage or quantity (as selected)

* You can lock the weightage or quantity of a particular stock by clicking the **🔓 lock icon**.

  * Once locked, any changes made to other stocks will not affect the locked stock.
  * Example: If one stock is locked at 50% weightage, adjustments to other stocks will not change it.

* To remove a stock, click the **🗑️ delete icon** shown at the bottom-right of the stock card.
* Once stock selection is complete, view the **Basket Summary** on the right-hand side, which includes:

  * Basket name
  * Installment date
  * Duration
  * Payment mode
  * Planned investment
  * Actual investment

* The **planned investment** amount is automatically calculated based on the stock price and quantity/weightage.

* After reviewing all details, click **Continue**.
* A confirmation pop-up will appear.

* Click **Confirm** to create your SIP basket.
* Click **Cancel** if you do not wish to proceed.
