The investment page is the central dashboard of the FUNDSGENIE app

Once you tap on the 'Invest' icon given at the bottom banner, you will by default land on the home page of the Invest page.

How to Invest In SIP/One-time

  • Tap on the 'Invest' tab in the bottom banner.

  • Explore the mutual funds and select the fund in which you wish to invest.

  • Click on the 'Invest Now' button given towards the bottom right-hand side of each fund.

  • Enter the SIP/Lumpsum amount, date, and duration. Select holding mode- Physical/Demat.

Physical Order :

  • If you select holding mode as 'physical form', an order authentication window will appear.

  • Authenticate the order by selecting the mobile number and desired option. Then generate OTP.

  • As a payment mode, you can either select net banking, UPI, or NEFT/RTGS.

  • Accept the payment before time-out, and your new SIP order will be placed successfully.

Demat Order :

  • If you select holding mode as 'Demat,' enter the amount or units in the order placement window and click on Continue.

  • Cross-check your details and click on the 'Register SIP' button.

  • As a payment mode, you can either select Net Banking, UPI, or NEFT/RTGS.

  • Accept the payment before time-out, and your new order will be placed successfully.

The above scenarios are based on a 2.30 PM cut-off time. Orders and payments made after 2.30 PM will be considered for the next business day’s NAV and processing. If the cut-off time for your scheme is different (for example, 1:30 PM for some liquid funds), please refer to the respective scheme details.


How to Invest in NFO

A separate section named "Ongoing NFOs" is available towards the middle of the Invest page. Click 'View More' to see both ongoing NFOs and previously applied NFOs. You can see details such as:

  • Fund Name

  • Open Date

  • Close Date

  • Allotment Date

If you wish to invest, click the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom right corner of each fund. The process followed is the same as described in "How to Invest In SIP/One-timearrow-up-right".

How to place multiple MF order using cart ?

The Cart feature allows you to add multiple mutual funds (SIP and/or Lumpsum) and place them together in a single transaction flow.

This helps you:

You can add up to 20 funds in one cart.

How to Add a Fund to Cart ?

  • Open the FundsGenie App

  • Search or open any Mutual Fund details page

  • Or, tap on the 'Invest' tab in the bottom banner.

  • Explore the mutual funds and select the fund in which you wish to invest.

  • Go through the details and click on the 'Add To Cart' button given towards the bottom.

  • In the Add to Cart screen:

    • Select investment type- SIP or One-time investment.

    • Enter the amount you want to invest.

    • Choose the monthly installment date for SIP.

    • Select duration.

    • Pick mode of holding (Demat or Physical).

  • Tap Save to add this fund to your cart.

  • After saving, you’ll see your Fund Cart.

  • Likewise, if you wish to invest in multiple funds at once, add your preferred funds to the cart.

  • To add another fund:

    • Tap the “+” icon at the top-right corner.

    • Select your preferred fund and enter investment details.

  • You can add :

    • Multiple Lumpsum funds

    • Multiple SIPs

    • Or a combination of both

  • Once done, now review your cart :

    • Check all selected funds, SIP amounts, and dates in the Fund Cart.

    • Confirm the total investment amount at the bottom.

  • Confirm and Place Order :

  • Tap Continue.

  • On the Order Confirmation screen :

    • Verify purchase details (total amount, frequency, mode of holding).

    • Select or create a bank mandate for payment.

  • Bank Selection & Payment Setup

    1. Select the bank account for payment

    2. For SIPs, select the mandate bank

    3. If multiple banks are available, the platform will display the available banks in your trading/demat account.

    4. Confirm the details and proceed

  • Authentication & Payment Flow

    • Non-Demat Orders :

      • You will be redirected to the BSE authentication page

      • After authentication, you’ll proceed to payment

    • Demat Orders :

      • You’ll be taken directly to the payment page

      • No additional authentication required

  • Payment Options Available ( Choose any of the following) :

    • Net Banking

    • UPI

    • NEFT / RTGS

    Complete the fund transfer just like a normal purchase.

  • After Payment Completion

    1. You’ll be redirected to the Order Confirmation screen.

    2. All placed orders will appear under Pending Orders (In progress).

    3. Once units are allotted by the AMC:

      • The investments will reflect in your Holdings

      • SIPs will start as per the selected schedule

Important Notes

  • A single cart transaction can include both SIP and Lumpsum orders

  • Orders are processed individually by AMCs even though payment is done together

  • Unit allocation depends on:

    • Cut-off time

    • Payment confirmation

    • AMC processing timelines
