# Research

The **Research** tab in the ***Ideas*** page is a dedicated section that provides you with **Geojit's research recommendations** for that particular security. These recommendations may include both **technical and fundamental analysis.**

* **Technical analysis** uses *past price* and *volume data* to identify patterns and predict future performance.
* **Fundamental analysis** evaluates a company's *financial health* and *industry conditions* to determine its intrinsic value.

By reviewing **research recommendations,** investors can gain a deeper understanding of the potential *risks* and *rewards* associated with a particular security and make informed decisions about their investments.

### How to open the Research Page? <a href="#how-to-open-the-research-page" id="how-to-open-the-research-page"></a>

To *open* the **Research** pag&#x65;**,** follow these steps:

* Locate the **Ideas tab** and click on it.
* Tap on the **Research** tab.
* You will be redirected to the **Research** page.
* Here, you can see **the Fundamental, Technical, Derivative, Commentary, Commodity,** and **Currency**  tabs. Regular commentary provides timely market insights from research experts.
* Tap to choose the desired category.
* Under each category, you will find a list of scrips.
* The user can find information such as **symbol, industry, last traded price, reco price, target price, estimated return percentage, status, whether to buy/sell/hold, and the date the research was updated** on the **Research page.**
* Each of the Fundamental, Technical, Derivative, and Commodity pages features a search bar :mag\_right: to look up a preferred scrip or contract. If the searched item is available, then the matching research recommendations are displayed; if none are available, a *No data found* message is shown.

#### How to enable research recommendations? <a href="#how-to-enable-research-recommendations" id="how-to-enable-research-recommendations"></a>

The research section contains research recommendations by both Geojit and Mojo. If you want to see Geojit's research recommendations in Flip, you need to subscribe to our research services first. The unsubscribed users while accessing the ideas page will get a pop-up message stating, '*Research services are currently inactive.'* Once activated again, the services will be available from the next working day.

### How to Apply Filters on the Research Page? <a href="#how-to-filter-the-research-page" id="how-to-filter-the-research-page"></a>

The **Filter** option allows you to filter the **Fundamental** and **Technical Research pages.** You can filter the Fundamental tab based on **Buy, Sell, Reduce, Neutral, Accumulate, and Hold** and filter the Technical Research tab based on :&#x20;

* **Recommendation** - **Buy, Sell,**&#x20;
* **Recommendation status - Open, Target Hit, Profit Booked, Stop-Loss, Auto square-off, abandoned**
* **Product Type -  Intraday,** **Hold for 5 Days, hold for 30 days**
* **Recommendation period—**&#x68;elps you to make informed decisions on your investment.

To *filter* the **research** page, follow these steps:

* Go to the "**Research"** **tab** in the **Ideas page.**
* Swipe/ Tap to go to **"Fundamental or Technical Research" page** according to your need.

* A pop-up with various **"Filter" options** will appear.
* You can filter by clicking on the appropriate options.
* To apply the selected **"Filters",** click outside the pop-up page.

* To change the existing filters, click on the **"Filter" Icon** again and click on the **"Reset" Button**.

### How to Sort the Fundamental Research page <a href="#how-to-sort-the-fundamental-research-page" id="how-to-sort-the-fundamental-research-page"></a>

Sort the **"Fundamental Research" page** according to the **"Percentage Gain from LTP: Low to High and High to Low"** & **"Percentage Gain from Reco Price: Low to High and High to Low"**. In the **"Fundamental Research"** pag&#x65;**,** the default sorting is such that the most recently updated research is displayed at the top and the oldest Research according to date of updating, is displayed at the bottom.

To *Sort* the **"Fundamental Research"** page, follow these steps:

* Go to the **"Fundamental Research"** tab in the **Research** page.
* Click on the **"Sort"  Icon**<img src="https://4250648999-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQUVvHauOEWZZorbZR584%2Fuploads%2FA72rDcwzjUuWNPhKXYqp%2Fsort.png?alt=media&#x26;token=e1d8a5d8-2773-40ee-9900-dacb348e10ce" alt="" data-size="line"> located at the top right-hand side of the tab.
* A pop-up with the **"Sort"** options will appear. where you will have the option to **"Sort"** the **"Fundamental Research".**
* Click on any **"Sort" option** and the **Sort** will be automatically applied.
